Box 429 Murfreesboro, TN 37133-0429 The East Main congregation of the church of Christ began in the early 1800's. The churches of Christ began in Acts 2 of the New Testament. Christ is the head of the church, His one body on earth. We are an atonomous congregation overseen by Elders/Shepherds and served by Deacons. The Bible and the Bible only is our sole authority. Therefore, we pattern our faith, worship, organization, communion, giving, plan of salvation, leadership, and mission after the church of the New Testament. If we believe as they were to believe, do as they were to do, and live daily as they were to live, we'll simply be what they were...Christians only...nothing more and nothing less. A people saved by God's grace when we obeyed Him by/through faith. We're members of Christ church and not a man created denominational body, but rather pre-denominational. The 'church of Christ' is not our name, but a discriptive phrase identifying to whom the church belongs, and that is Christ. We wear but one name and that is 'Christian.' We offer individual Bible studies if you are interested or if you desire to simply ask more questions about the church...of Christ, please contact or visit us.
